Psalm 29:4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
As I awake to the day it is raining. Thunder shakes the trees, and lightening streaks across the skies of east Texas. The lightning is caused by electrical discharges within the cloud; we all know that. And the thunder is a result of the collapsing of a hole made by the lightning bolt as the air passes thru the cloud. We all are fully aware of that, aren’t we?
But I like to read about how it is really the power of the Lord being displayed high above us for our awe. Psalm 29 tells it like this;
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.”
However you might see the heavenly light show, this I know. God is speaking every morning. Sometimes in the thunder, often in a sunrise. Sometimes in a flower or a friend, and always in my heart. Rise and listen! Hear his voice! It is new every morning, and it speaks just for you.
