NATIONAL LAZY DAY
Today there will not be much information regarding anything on this blog as this is an annually celebrated holiday that we choose to honor by doing nothing at all. Yes, it is National Lazy Day, and we choose to be lazy rather than tell you that this holiday is observed each year on August 10th. We might also add that it became to much trouble to search out the creator and origin of National Lazy Day.
For many, it seems, everyday is a lazy day. Welfare roles are up, productivity is down, and real unemployment is at an all time high. I would like to write more about that, but it is too much trouble. Solomon said even work was to no purpose because another would inherit all that we labor for. Maybe he started Lazy Day?
Solomon also said (Ecc 1:4) that generations come and generations go, but that the earth remains the same. In spite of global warming and old age, the earth remains. The God who created the world does not know a lazy day; He maintains what He makes, and He is ever mindful of all that happens here on the earth, and of every single life that lives upon it.. God never sleeps, nor does he slumber.
I am thankful for a God who watches over me as I sleep and walks with me when I rise; guides me during the day and guards me thru the night. What an awesome God we serve!
With a God like that I can rest easy today because He never does. Enjoy your National Lazy day. I will….. zzzzzzz
