Seems like it must have been in the late ‘90’s that I found my self driving to Little Rock, Ark, on company business. About half way there I stopped in a rest area just over the line into Arkansas and went inside to, well, rest. As I was washing my hands I saw a sign on one of the dryers used to blow hot air on your hands after washing them. “For a message from our President,” it read, “push here” , next to an arrow pointing to the on button. Looking around I saw a similar sign had been pasted on every dryer in the place. Later, further up the road, I stopped again, out of curiosity this time, and went into the rest room. You guessed it. There, over the sinks, the dryers all carried the same message. Seems like someone felt like all that ever came out of Washington was hot air. Now, 25 years later, that has not changed.
This morning a preacher stood boldly before his congregation and proclaimed that he knew beyond a doubt that the Bible was 100% accurate and written solely by the Spirit of the Lord. He received many “Amen’s” for that declaration, though not enough I thought to myself. Some things never change.
Opening the pages of Gods Word we find that it reads, in Matt 24:35, that “ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away”. Praise the Lord, there are things that do not change. Ever.
