Listen. David Letterman has left the room. There is no one left to talk to. All that remains are comedians and critics.
The children are no longer talking. The smart phone has dumbed down their voices.
Parents no longer listen either. Other things have taken precedence. In a world wrapped up in fiber and airwaves, no one is talking; no one is listening.
But God still listens. What do you suppose He hears? His ear is turned to the earth below, and silence returns. Gods ear is turned our way from heaven, but there are no pleas, no prayers, no praises to be heard. If God were on Facebook, would He have been de-friended decades ago?
Governments have their conferences; churches their committees, and businesses their conventions, just so they can all stay connected, or ‘on the same page.’ We, as children of the spiritual kingdom, we need, no, must have, a daily meeting with the King so we are in tune with Him at all times.
In Zec 3:1, and throughout the Word, God constantly calls for that meeting, but many have, sadly, left the room.
‘Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD Almighty.’
The call has gone out; the meeting is set. It will be in a quiet room just before the dawn. Can you attend? Will you be there? Listen..
